Not as good as the pictures
This is not my first protech. I own 3 others, so I know about protech's quality. How this made it through QC, Firsr, the good. I'll never know. The action is fantastic as always. The blade is sharp out of the box. Now the bad. The blue coating on the blade is the worst I've seen. I've seen reviews and pictures online. All of them show an even, shiny blue coating on the blade. That's the only reason I bought this knife. The coating on this blade is dull and uneven. Where the handle meets the blade, it's not even coated. It's just bare metal. It stands out and looks awful. It's the first thing I noticed when I opened it. Then I saw how dull the finish was. Definitely not worth the extra money. If you are contemplating getting one for the blue finish, don't. Save some money and get the DLC version. I wish I had.
